I’m stopping in quickly to
say I’m having a lovely time in New
Hampshire . The foliage peaked a few days ago and
this is the view from where I sit and write. Inspiring indeed! I've been getting lots of writing—revisions, that is—done...
…also, I want to direct
attention to Anne Gallagher’s new Regency Writer blog (and not just because the
header features one of my paintings—she produces some really high-quality
stories! Go check it out!
Love the view. And thanks for the shout. You're the best.
ReplyDeleteI lived in Maine for a year and a half--and I miss views like that. Happy the writing is going well!
ReplyDeleteI'm off to check out Anne's place. :D
Oh how stunning! I love my ocean, but we don't get that kind of color in the trees. Right now, the rain is drowning the slight color we do have. I went to college in VT. Once I had to fly home to MA, in a "puddle jumper" during peak foliage. I think I had my mouth open for the entire flight!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are painting that view.
i went to a gallery this week end,,,no comparison.
ReplyDeleteAnne, You’re welcome—and it’s the least I could do! I’m so excited about your Regency Romances. All the best to you!
ReplyDeleteJP, Did you live inland or close to the water? It is a beautiful state, either way and makes a great place to write about.
Liza, The colors actually improved a bit after I took the picture. It’s so hard to know when it’s ‘peak’ —when the rain and wind will come and take it all away! Up close, the color is stunning, but I can only image how awesome it is from an aerial view!
Glenn, It really is difficult to capture all the nuances of autumn (or any nature) on canvas. Even a photograph comes up far short! (So where were you traipsing off to this weekend?)
I love Anne's new site! And your pictures are lovely here. Looks like you're having a wonderful time. :)
ReplyDeletei am so jealous. no more beautiful place this time of year.
ReplyDeleteMichelle, we are having a good time--so busy...now I'm looking forward to getting home and back to my 'other' life!
ReplyDeleteEd, It is beautiful even though so many of the leaves dropped, it seems the most vivid are still clinging...like your memories of New Hampshire--perhaps some day you'll return for a bit! :)
Absolutely beautiful. Glad that you're having a good time -- and being productive too!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous picture. Now to check out Anne's website. :D
ReplyDeleteLisa and Stina, It was beautiful--we just arrived back in MI. We missed the snow out East--probably you up in Canada have already had snow!
