The book I'm working on is in horrendous shape, but I know by now that I can make it a beautiful thing in the end, so I keep going. Just keep going!Michelle D. It's time to accept my writing style for what it is and go with it. I've actually written the first chapter--I know it needs a lot of work to make it presentable, but at least it's a start. Feels good to be writing again, though there is that familiar angst that accompanies it--you know, the bouts of 'this is going to completely suck!' 'why am I wasting my time!'J.B. And if you've tried another way and it doesn't work, don't force it. That's why I never liked doing NaNo, because it made it all feel like a competition, and I cannot write under the emotions competition instills in me. As for outlining, I'm somewhere in between, starting out by the seat of my pants, then settling back to organize a loose outline and get some direction so I can move forward. But it's very loose. I wish you luck! You can do this. :)Michelle D. Although I do like the idea of having a good idea of where my story is going, I need characters interacting on 'paper' before I know just what they will do. I hope a new idea comes to you soon!J.B.
